A four-point weekend for Leeds Knights saw them move two points clear at the top of the Planet Ice NIHL National Division.

The Knights won 3-2 at Peterborough Phantoms on Saturday before backing it up with a narrow 4-3 triumph at Telford Tigers the following day.

Leeds started the weekend level on points with MK Lightning, who couldn’t follow up a commanding 7-4 win at home to Bees IHC as Hull Seahawks edged them 4-3 on Sunday evening.

It proved to be a perfect weekend for the Seahawks. A 6-4 win at Bristol Pitbulls on Saturday, coupled with their victory over Lightning, saw them climb up to third in the league table.

Bees IHC recovered from their Saturday setback with a 4-3 victory over Peterborough – who dropped to fifth after a difficult pair of results over the weekend.

Elsewhere, Swindon Wildcats recorded back-to-back wins in Solway, defeating the Sharks 8-4 and 7-5 to rise up to sixth place in the ladder.

It was a far tighter affair in the back-to-back meetings between Sheffield Steeldogs and Raiders IHC. The Steeldogs secured an overtime victory on Saturday before losing 5-3 in Romford the following day.
