There’s plenty to look out for in the Planet Ice NIHL National Division this weekend.

League leaders MK Lightning will hope to stretch their advantage at the top and capitalise on any slip-up from defending champions Leeds Knights. Lightning host Sheffield Steeldogs on Saturday before visiting 4th-placed Hull Seahawks the following day.

Leeds sit two points off top spot heading into the latest round of fixtures, and they start their weekend with a home game against Telford Tigers. This is followed by a trip to Berkshire to face Bees IHC on Sunday evening.

Peterborough Phantoms start the weekend 3rd in the standings. Their upcoming fixtures come against the two sides closest behind – at home to the Seahawks on Saturday before visiting Telford the following day.

Meanwhile, a crunch bottom-of-the-table encounter will see Bristol Pitbulls and Raiders IHC face each other home and away. The Pitbulls will look to extend a recent resurgence which saw them climb off the foot of the National Division last weekend.

Other fixtures include Solway Sharks playing host on Saturday to Swindon Wildcats, who are gearing up for their long-awaited return to the Link Centre next weekend following the extensive flood damage suffered at their ice hockey home back in September.
