The Planet Ice NIHL National Division continues this weekend as teams take to the ice looking to finish the month in strong fashion.

Leeds Knights continue to lead the way at the top of the table but face an important test this weekend when they welcome Telford Tigers Planet Ice Leeds on Sunday.

The Knights will also be buoyed by Tuesday’s 4-1 win at Sheffield Steeldogs – a result which saw them move two points clear at the NIHL summit.

MK Lightning will hit the ice twice this weekend, taking on Telford Tigers (home) and Peterborough Phantoms (away) as they look to capitalise on any potential slip-up from the Knights.

Lightning have only been defeated twice this season, but their credentials will be tested with games against two more of the sides currently in the top six.

Elsewhere in the division, Solway Sharks and Hull Seahawks will go head-to-head twice this weekend, with the Sharks hosting the Seahawks on Saturday before playing the return fixture less than 24 hours later.

The Sharks have only picked up four points this season and will be keen to start improving on that record this weekend.

Meanwhile, Bristol Pitbulls and Raiders Ice Hockey will meet in back-to-back fixtures on Saturday and Sunday, with both sides lurking near the bottom of the table and undoubtedly eager to turn their fortunes around after indifferent starts to their respective campaigns.
