NIHL CUP FINALS: qualifiers confirmed, order of play announced for Sheffield finale

May 24, 2021

Following the weekend’s games in the NIHL cups currently in play, the four qualifiers for next month’s NIHL 1 Cup Finals Weekend are now known.

Milton Keynes Thunder picked up the fourth and final ticket to the dance with a win at Haringey Huskies on Sunday night.

Qualifying from the northern Three Rivers Cup are Sheffield Scimitars and Widnes Wild; from the southern Ruggedstock Cup it’s Slough Jets and MK Thunder.

The NIHL have announced that the crossover semi finals at Bauer Arena on Saturday June 6 will see Sheffield v MK at 1.30pm followed by Slough v Widnes at 6.30pm. Sunday’s final is off at 3pm.

Tickets for spectators to attend in person at the rink are on sale now online from www.eiha.co.uk/tickets. Adults tickets £25, concession £17.50 covering all three games. Attendance is limited at just under 500 under current guidelines and as this is a COVID-secure event and spectators will require a negative lateral flow test in advance of attending the event.

Don’t miss out and book your tickets to support your team and also be part of the first ice hockey event with ‘fans in the stands’ in the UK in almost 15 months.
