ENTP: opportunities for coaches in new England programme
February 8, 2022
With the new Showcase Programme now underway, the EIHA’s recently appointed head coach for the England National Team Programme (ENTP), Andy Daintith, is now looking to get the England programme back up and running. It has been a busy few weeks for the Kingston head coach who led his NIHL 2 Kingston Jets to Laidler Cup glory against Telford Tigers last month but now Andy is very excited to be working alongside the Junior Showcase lead Martyn Etheridge.
Today Andy has confirmed that the Showcase event to be held at the end of April will provide the selection pool for the Elite Player Pathway with the next stage following Showcase will be the England Programme which will re-launch in the next few days.
Daintith said: “We have now established a robust relationship with the Education Programme, combining our roles, skills, knowledge and experience to provide a truly outstanding development pathway for our young athletes.
“The collaboration also provides opportunities for greater synergy between the education of coaches and managers and moving forward to recruiting new staff for the ENTP. As a result of this new approach, we are looking to recruit both coaches and managers who fit the criteria required for the new-look ENTP.”
This is an exciting opportunity for everyone involved in the EIHA who are seeking to recruit registered volunteer staff who not only have the ability to meet the criteria, but also for new people who have not had the opportunity before to be recognised for their contribution to the game at club or former Conference level.
With that in mind Andy Daintith is keen to hear from you. If you feel you have what it takes to assist our senior leadership group develop the ENTP in the right direction, then you are now invited to express your interest in joining the EIHA’s flagship player development programme. You will need to consider the commitment before you apply as you will be required to attend the programme events for up to of 13 days per year which might include foreign travel.
Coaches are requested to provide a brief outline (max 300 words) of your sports philosophy and what you will bring to the programme along with why you are interested in this position, a statement of your personal ambition, and your ambition for the players. You should also include a summary of your background coaching and playing history, and a little bit about yourself.
Please send your letter and hockey CV to recruitment@nulleiha.co.uk. Closing date for expressions of interest is 5pm on Friday 18th February 2022.
For our Manager roles, Vicki Fidler the Education Lead for Managers will be advertising for these positions. Please keep a look out on the EIHA website and social media.
