SAFEGUARDING: 22/23 policies published by EIHA
July 7, 2022
The English Ice Hockey Association is pleased to publish its updated Safeguarding Policy document for the 2022/23 season.
This single file replaces all existing procedures, documents and policies. It can be found at /download/safeguarding-policies-22-23/ with both Word and PDF versions of the document available.
EIHA director and safeguarding lead Barrie Archer said: “I am delighted to have our new single document available, bringing everything together in one place. This is a key document for our Association and its members.
“Safeguarding within the EIHA is looked at from other organisations as best practice and our aim as a team is to remain a beacon for other organisations to follow.
“The safeguarding team are here and our core responsibility is to ensure that we safeguard our players and with the help of the members we can continue to ensure that best practice is followed at all times to achieve this aim.
“Please feel free to contact your club Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or the regional DSL should you have any concerns about safeguarding. If you feel you are unable to do this you may use the confidential whistleblowing procedure and all reports will be investigated.
“We currently have a Regional DSL vacancy on the team covering the Northern Region. If you are interested in becoming a Regional DSL then please contact ne for further details.
“Here’s looking forward to a cracking and safe season 22/23.”
