EIHA Director, Matt Lloyd said: “I am delighted to welcome Para Ice Hockey into the English Ice Hockey Association, as it is essential that as a National Governing Body, we are able to welcome everybody that wants to play our sport into our membership.
“As part of the EIHA I am sure that Para Ice Hockey will develop at both a domestic and international level and we look forward to Para Ice Hockey becoming fully embedded in all of our activities.”
Commenting on behalf of Para Ice Hockey, current British Para Ice Hockey Association chair Karl Nicholson said: “I’m really excited that we have been welcomed into the EIHA. This partnership will ensure that the sport continues to grow and develop over the coming years and ensure that Para ice hockey has a great future ahead”.
Going forward the EIHA have great ambitions to make the sport more inclusive and will be seeking to work with our partners to ensure that ice hockey is as accessible as possible for both fans and athletes.
