NEWS: Board update as Matt Lloyd stands down as Director
October 24, 2022
The EIHA have announced that Matt Lloyd has officially resigned from his role as Director, a position held since March 2021, effective as of 14 October 2022.
In his statement, Matt explained he felt unable to continue in his role due to other commitments.
Matt has been an active Board member for the last 18 months and in that time has played a significant part in the development of the Association, including overseeing the Junior section, securing Sport England funding and recruiting the first ever EIHA employees, as well as bringing Para Ice Hockey under the EIHA umbrella.
The Board of Directors at EIHA will be considering how best to move forward with a replacement for Matt. In the interim period, Mohammed Ashraff and Barrie Archer have stepped in to oversee the Junior section until a suitable replacement can be found.
On behalf of the Association, Chairman Mohammed Ashraff would like to thank Matt for his achievements during his tenure.
Ash said: “Matt was a valuable strategic member of the EIHA Board and brought with him a wealth of expertise and experience which has significantly helped drive the Association forwards.
“On behalf of the EIHA, I would like to thank him for his commitment and hard-work during his time on the Board and wish him all the best for the future. The Association continues to grow and develop.
“As such, we remain confident that we can find suitable replacements to help build on the momentum that Matt has helped create.”
