ih4gSheffield Shadows moved second in the Women’s Elite League after a four point weekend.

Samantha Bolwell made 39 saves on Saturday as they edged Guildford Lightning 2-1 at home, before Judy Browne scored twice 24 hours later in a 3-0 road success at Swindon Topcats.

In Womens Premier League action, Chelmsford Cobras defeated Slough Phantoms 7-3 with Beth Hill scoring a hat-trick.  MK Falcons were comprehensive 10-1 winners at Nottingham Vipers – Rachel Piotrowski with four goals and Lydia Howton 3+1.

Basingstoke Bison picked up a win in Division 1 South Cup, beating Cardiff Comets 4-0 on the back of Peri Edmiston’s treble.

There were six different scorers in the Billingham Wildcats 9-1 home win over Telford Wrekin Raiders in Division 1 North Cup, maintaining Wildcats 100% start to the season.
