WOMENS: league round up 11/12 March

ih4gHannah Ware netted four minutes from time to give Sheffield Shadows a 3-2 home win over Kingston Diamonds in the Elite League.  Shadows are holding on to the fourth and final play off place.

Solihull Vixens’ goalie Michelle Franklin celebrated her GB callup with a shutout in the 6-0 win over Swindon Topcats.  Paige Henry scored twice and added an assist as Vixens take over second place in the table.

Steph Towns and Joy Craighead each scored a hat-trick for Billingham Wildcats, who made it five wins from five in Division One North.  Their latest success was a 9-2 scoreline against Telford Wrekin Raiders.

In Cup action Melissa Gough’s second period goal was the difference as Whitley Squaws edged Solway Sharks 2-1 at Hillheads.

U16 South champions Bracknell Ice Bees mainatined their unbeaten record, winning 4-2 at Haringey.  Sophie Halstead with 2+1 lead all scorers.
