Swindon Topcats picked up their first Elite League point with a 1-1 tie at Sheffield Shadows.  Beccy Osman opened the scoring for Swindon in just 74 seconds before Hazel Taylor levelled for the home side.  Rachel Moore made 47 saves for Swindon to secure the draw.

In the Premier League, MK Falcons moved to the top of the league on the back of a 4-2 win over Kingston Diamonds, with four different goalscorers.

Blackburn Thunder began their Division 1 North campaign with a 2-1 road win at Solway Sharks – Philippa Riddoch with the game-winner midway through the final period.

Preston Gennoe’s goal 26 seconds from time gave Coventry Phoenix a dramatic 5-4 win at Telford Wrekin Raiders, avenging the previous week’s Cup defeat at the same rink.

Bracknell Ice Bees opened the defence of their Girls u16 South title with a 2-1 win at Milton Keynes, while Haringey were 3-1 victors over Swindon Top Kittens.
