Following Wednesday’s Exhibition game against Int B league Colorado Avalanche England 13’s returned to the shopping mall on Thursday to face fellow group Int C opposition Beauville Etoiles on Thursday morning. The first period ended 2-0 in England’s favour with goals from Bayley Harewood and Callum Field. The second period saw England tuck away a further 5 goals, three for Callum Field and one a piece for Logan Neilson and Bayley Harewood. England made the final result 9-0 with goals from Logan Neilson and Alex Graham in the third.

On Friday afternoon England played their first tournament game in the Centre Videotron against Mirabel Concordes who travelled in from Montreal. A tight first period ended goalless with both teams making good chances. The deadlock was broken 3.33 into the second when Logan Neilson became the first British player to score in the Centre Videotron with an assist from Alex Graham. England made it 2-0 8.44 into the second when Alex Graham scored with an assist from Juha Lindgren. Mirabel fought back with their first goal with 10.19 gone in the second and put the pressure back on England who responded with their third goal 23 seconds later when Alex Graham scored with an assist from Troy Deane, this was followed just our a minute later with Alex Graham completing his hat trick with an assist from Logan Neilson to make it 4-1 at end of the second.

Straight from the off in the third England went looking to increase their lead and it took just 17 seconds with Alex Graham scoring his fourth assisted by Logan Neilson again. Five minutes later Logan scored unassisted from a tight angle before Mirabel scored their second of the game. Jasper Foster scored with an assist from Troy Deane to wrap up a 7-2 victory and put us into the next round at the Centre Videotron on Tuesday afternoon against Plessisville V Boutin.

On Saturday the team had a bit of fun with an outdoor winter classic session.

With a day off on Sunday the team returned to the ice on Monday morning playing against Int B group team Atlanta Fire in their third Exhibition game of the trip. With three games, a training session and the winter classic under their belts the team have now start end to gain confidence and three goals in a minute during the first period from Callum Field, Dylan Harcourt and Juha Lindgren showed Atlanta we were able to match them on the ice. A second goal from Juha Lindgren in the second and an Alex Graham goal in the third wrapped up a 5-0 win.

After the game ex NHL player Dan Bouchard who was on the Atlanta bench complemented the team and coaches on their play.
