#TeamStripes – You Make The Call – Week 1 answers

How did you get on with the first rules test of the new season then?  We think they were fairly straightforward to ease you in gently with the new IIHF rulebook and all that!

So to the answers:

Question 1:
What is the minimum penalty tariff that can be called for Boarding?
Minor plus a Misconduct.  Rule 119i A boarding penalty is punishable by a minor and misconduct penalty.

Question 2:
A player who recklessly endangers a vulnerable opponent with a late hit will be assessed what penalty?
A Match Penalty.  Rule 153 iii A skater who recklessly endangers a vulnerable opponent with a late hit will be assessed a match penalty

Question 3:
What penalty tariff should  be assessed for Slew Footing where the player does not recklessly endanger an opponent?
A 5+Game penalty.  Rule 160 part i: A player who slew-foots an opponent will be assessed a major plus game misconduct.
