England U13 Team 2018
The U13 Boys Team is the entry age to the ENTP program and is the first chance players get to be selected for a National team under the EIHA.
We have a team of 4 staff which is made up of Manger Sam Daintith (Hull IHC, Northern Conference U11’s and U13’s), Head Coach Mark Saunders (Bracknell IHC, South East Conference U11’s) and Assistant Coaches Alan Blyth (London Raiders, South East Conference U11’s) and Dave Capps (Streatham IHC, South East Conference U13’s).
Our program at U13 is to look at two catchment years for selection to the team over the course of the season and this involves 40-50 players throughout the trial process, culminating in a team selection for participation in an international training and development camp.
Last year we went to Nymburk in the Czech Republic for what was a very educational trip hockey wise for the players in terms of practices, games, on and off ice training, and three of those players (under age last season) have been successful in being selected for this years team for when we travel to Bratislava in April.
As an age group we are very much looking forward to the trip in what will be another very challenging week of hockey for all involved in the U13’s.
