NIHL: S1 playoffs – ‘ineligible’ player on electronic gamesheet

March 27, 2017

On Saturday 25th March, Chelmsford Chieftains played Bracknell Hornets in the first leg of the NIHL South 1 playoff quarter finals. A player for Chelmsford who was not playoff eligible was correctly crossed off on the team list however they were accidentally included on the electronic game sheet.

Both sides have confirmed to the EIHA that the player involved did not play in this particular game and therefore both teams were legitimate for the fixture. The player will be removed from the online version of the game sheet in due course.

The LMC wishes the best of luck to the first round winners – Chelmsford Chieftains, London Raiders, Invicta Dynamos and Streatham IHC – in the Semi-Finals this weekend.

The semi final ties see Chelmsford play London, while Invicta meet Streatham.

Fixtures:
Saturday 1 April – London v Chelmsford, Streatham v Invicta (both 1730 faceoff)
Sunday 2 April – Chelmsford v London (1830), Invicta v Streatham (1715)
