Nottingham Lions are delighted to announce that all Lions games played in the Olympic Rink at the National Ice Centre next season will be streamed live.
Thanks to the installation of a brand new, state of the art video system at the rink we will be able to film every game and broadcast them live to viewers all around the world.
As with the audio coverage over the past two seasons, commentary on matches will come from Chris Gadsby and Jono Bullard.
Chris said: “Since we started the live commentary almost two seasons ago now we’ve seen the listener numbers increase steadily, and adding the video to the streams from next season will hopefully increase that further.
“The reason I started doing the commentaries was so that fans who were unable to make the game could still feel a part of the action. Adding video is only going to increase that further.”
Jono added: “The chance to broadcast games globally is going to be a huge boost to not only the Lions but also the NIHL as a whole. I’m very much looking forward to being part of the coverage.”
Head Coach Matt Bradbury is also excited with the opportunity of showcasing the Lions to a wider audience, saying: “A camera system is something we dreamt about over the last couple of seasons and now it’s soon to be a reality – the camera system is a serious piece of equipment and we will look forward to ensuring it’s utilised to its full capabilities.”
