After a short programme last weekend, the NIHL North divisions spring into life this week with ten fixtures across Moralee and Laidler competitions.

In Moralee (North 1), Whitley Warriors will look to build on last week’s opening win as they travel on Saturday to Sutton Sting (7.30pm).  Sting this week confirmed the signing of Adrian Palak from Sheffield Steeldogs.

Also on Saturday the Solway Sharks play their first #oneNIHL fixture of the season after three wins in the Scottish National League over the past two weeks.  Sharks welcome Nottingham Lions to Dumfries for a 7pm faceoff.

Sunday’s N1 action pits two early contenders together as Warriors host Sharks on Tyneside (5pm).  Whitley will have former Sharks assistant captain Ross Murray in their lineup.

Solihull Barons will be boosted by the return to action of Niklas Ottoson for their home game with Billingham Stars on Sunday (5.30pm).  Both Barons and Stars enjoyed wins in pre-season last weekend.

Finally the Nottingham Lions take to the home ice for the first time with Blackburn Hawks making the visit to the NIC.  Puck drop is at 5.30pm and Lions will be streaming the game live via YouTube.

In North 2 (Laidler) action, Saturday sees the Hull Jets look to build on last week’s win at Sheffield when they take on The Dragons at Hull Arena (5.15pm).

Telford Tigers 2 open their account with the visit of Altrincham Aces for a 7pm face off.

On Sunday, Widnes Wild host Sheffield Senators (5.30pm) having added Jamaican international defenceman Solomon Smith to their lineup.

The Dragons have their home opener as Bradford Bulldogs are the visitors to north Wales (5.45pm).

Finally Blackburn Hawks 2 face Hull Jets with puck drop at 6pm.
