The eight qualifiers were confirmed at the weekend, now the schedule has been drawn up for the National Ice Hockey League (NIHL) North playoff weekend.

For the second straight year a joint event for Division 1 and Division 2 is taking place at Ice Sheffield, this being on the weekend of 8/9 April.

There are four semi finals on the Saturday, starting at 1030am.

The schedule for the Sunday afternoon has the NIHL Radio Awards at 12noon followed by the respective playoff finals.

The timetable for Saturday 8 April is:

0930 Doors Open
1030 Widnes Wild v Altrincham Aces (Division 2 semi final)

1330 Billingham Stars v Blackburn Hawks (Division 1 semi final)
1630 Blackburn Eagles v Sheffield Senators (Division 2 semi final)
1930 Solway Sharks v Solihull Barons (Division 1 semi final)

* Also in NIHL North, this coming weekend sees the final Moralee Division 1 game on Saturday between Blackburn Hawks and Deeside Dragons.  On Sunday 2 April, Blackburn Arena also host the NIHL North promotion playoff between Widnes Wild, who finished second in Laidler Division 2, and the seventh-placed team from Moralee Division 1.  This will be confirmed after the result of the Hawks-Dragons match 24 hours earlier.
