March 19, 2020

Following the announcement that competitive hockey until May 31 has been cancelled due to COVID-19, the NIHL Management Group (NLMG) have been working to finalise the league tables across all five divisions.

The decisions of the NLMG used the following rationale:
– 5-0 award for games cancelled by a team
– 0-0 no points for games cancelled by mutual agreement
– 0-0 no points for all games not fulfilled after cessation of play
– No fines or costs have been levied against any team in these situations

As of last Sunday evening there were two divisions yet to crown their League champions, those titles can now be confirmed.

In South 1 (Britton), Streatham IHC add the league to their South Cup honours. Adam Carr’s men have lost just one game all season and have been the standout team in the division. Congratulations to everyone associated with Streatham – players, coaches, owners and the fans on the High Road.

The North 2 (Laidler) campaign still had a couple of weekends to run but with the tables now finalised we can say congratulations to Hull Jets. The senior side in the Kingston club, Andy Daintith has assembled an excellent mix of experience and youth and the squad have responded brilliantly, a great battle with Bradford at the top of the table before taking top spot for good on January 11th. Again to everyone at Hull Arena, we pass on our congratulations and best wishes on the title success.

We are delighted to confirm the full ‘Roll of Honour’ for the 2019/20 season.
