NIHL: discipline update from October 6 & 7 games

The discipline panel have reviewed four Match penalties which were handed out in the NIHL last weekend.

After viewing game video two penalties have been quashed.  Raiders forward Blaho Novak was initially awarded a Match for butt-ending in his side’s South 1 game against Bracknell on Saturday October 6.  Basingstoke Bison forward Michal Klejna was assessed a Match for spearing in the final period of the Autumn Cup match at Telford on Sunday October 7.

The penalties have been quashed and removed from the players’ respective records.

Invicta Dynamos’ defenceman Harrison Lillis received a Match for fighting in the second period of their game at home to Swindon on Sunday October 7.  He has been suspended for four matches with five penalty points added to his record.  He misses the games on October 13, 14, 21 and 27.

Elliott Murdoch, forward with Cardiff Fire, picked up at Match for fighting in the first period of the Fire’s South 2 game at home to Slough on Sunday October 7.  He has also been suspended for four matches with five penalty points added to his record.  He misses the games on October 13, 14, 20 and 27.
