NIHL: discipline update from 29/30 September

The EIHA/NIHL discipline panel has confirmed five suspensions following major penalties picked up in games from last weekend.

On Saturday September 29,  Bradford Bulldogs player David Williams was assessed a Match penalty for kicking in the first period of his side’s NIHL North 2 game with Sheffield Senators.  He has been suspended for three games with five penalty points added to his record.  He misses the games on October 6, 13 and 14.

Blackburn Hawks forward Danielius Nomanovas picked up a Match penalty for spearing in the second period of the Hawks NIHL North 1 game against Solihull Barons on Sunday September 30.  He is suspended for three games with five penalty points added to his record.  He misses games on October 6, 7 and 13.

Jakub Klima of Nottingham Lions was given a Match penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct early in the second period of the game against Hull Pirates.  He is suspended for two games with five penalty points added to his record.  He misses the games on October 6 and 7.

Sheffield Steeldogs’ Ashley Calvert received a Match penalty for fighting late in the third period of the Autumn Cup game with Peterborough Phantoms.  He is suspended for four games with five penalty points added to his record.  He misses games on October 6, 7, 13 and 14.

In NIHL North 2 Simon Furnival of Deeside Dragons was assessed a Match penalty for boarding in the first period of his side’s game against Telford Tigers.  He is suspended for two games with five penalty points added to his record. He misses games on October 6 and 7.
