NIHL: Disciplinary decisions in National League

The following disciplinary decisions have been made in the National Ice Hockey League (NIHL) following incidents in recent games.

Billingham Stars’ Luke Brown received a Match Penalty for physical abuse of an official during the third period of his team’s NIHL North 1 league game at Solway Sharks on 10 September.  Brown has been suspended from hockey until 1 December 2016 and has received five penalty points on his record.

Conor Sheehan of Streatham IHC was assessed a Match Penalty for checking to the head during the second period of his team’s NIHL South 1 Cup match against Chelmsford Chieftain on 17 September.  Sheehan is suspended for two matches and has five penalty points added to his record.

Streatham’s Adam Wood received a Match Penalty for an obscene gesture in the second period of his team’s NIHL South 1 league game at Oxford City Stars on 18 September.  Wood receives a one match ban and has five penalty points added to his record.
