National Ice Hockey League managers are publishing their rules of competition this evening for the 18/19 season.

The document covers all aspects of participation in the league and cup competitions.

League manager Richard Carpenter went through the major changes to the rules on social media on Wednesday evening, explaining the LMC thinking when making amendments or adding new rules.  Click to read the full thread on Twitter.

The main changes for the new season centre around discipline where a suspension is carried forward on a non-EIHA trained player from one season to another, clearer guidance on cancellations due to weather conditions, awarded games and new anti-discrimination rules.

Everyone involved with the NIHL as a player, coach, official or supporter is encouraged to download the document and read about the administration that supports the league, its players and clubs.
