There are no fewer than SIX finals in play today across the EIHA senior leagues.
First up in Coventry the U20 English Championship game takes place at 1215 between Kingston Sharks and Coventry Blaze.
In Sheffield at 1330 the NIHL North 2 playoff final faces off between Widnes Wild and Sheffield Senators. Wild, the second seed, won their semi final against Altrincham Aces while Sheffield upset league champions Blackburn Eagles in their semi final winning 3-1.
The EPIHL season draws to a close at 1600 with the playoff final in Coventry between Milton Keynes Lightning and Telford Tigers. MK blew Guildford Flames away in the final period of their game yesterday to win 8-3, while Telford edged past Basingstoke Bison 3-2 in the second semi final tie.
Ice Sheffield is the focus at 1630 for the NIHL North 1 playoff final, with the top two seeds going head to head in the final. Billingham Stars won 7-3 against Blackburn Hawks, while top seeded Solway Sharks needed overtime to beat Solihull Barons 3-2.
Later in the day at 1800 the setting is Ice Arena Wales for the NIHL S2 Cup Final. Peterborough Islanders go against Cardiff Fire in the Final, with each side yet to taste defeat all season. Something has to give!
Finally the NIHL S1 playoff final second leg takes place at Chelmsford, puck drops at 1830. The home side, top seeded Chieftains need to overturn a five goal deficit from a sparkling first leg by Invicta Dynamos. The Kent side won 8-3 at Gillingham to set up an intriguing final game of the season.
