On Sunday October 13, Sheffield Senators hosted Bradford Bulldogs in NIHL North 2 at Ice Sheffield. The game featured 413 penalty minutes and no fewer than 13 match penalties and a large coming together at the final buzzer.
The NIHL discipline panel has confirmed the suspensions of those involved, including coaches and penalty point related fines for the clubs involved.
Sheffield Senators have six players who received a match penalty for fighting and are suspended for four games with five penalty points on their record: Arran Bell, Jack Brammer, Mark Hartley, Matthew Wain, Nathan Ripley and William Harper. Coach Andrew Chapman is suspended for two games for failing to control his bench. The club is fined for reaching 20 penalty points in the season.
Bradford Bulldogs have Chris Butler suspended for three games with five penalty points for spearing. The following five players are suspended for four games with five penalty points for fighting: Alexander Mitchell, Mark Higson, Matthew Barlow, Tomas Mitrik and Troy Evans. Coach Andy Brown is suspended for two games for failing to control his bench. The club is fined for reaching 20 and 40 penalty points this season.
