The NIHL Management Group have considered a number of unplayed fixtures and made the following decisions regarding awarding games:
NIHL North 1 – Whitley v Blackburn (February 9). The game has been awarded 5-0 to Whitley, while Blackburn are fined £500 in costs for not travelling to fulfill the game.
NIHL South 2 – Cardiff v Solent (September 22). The game has been awarded 5-0 to Solent, there is no fine attached to this decision.
NIHL South 2 – Bristol v Cardiff (February 8). The game is awarded 5-0 to Bristol, there is no fine attached to this decision.
NIHL North 2 – Bradford v Hull (December 28). The game is awarded as a 0-0 with each side receiving one point in the standings.
NIHL South 2 – Streatham v Bracknell (December 22). The game is awarded 5-0 to Bracknell, there is no fine attached to this decision.
NIHL South 2 – Streatham v Peterborough (February 2). The game did not take place due to an incident outside the rink, this is acknowledged as a no-fault postponement. Concerns had been raised with SYIHC before the season began about availability of weekend slots for NIHL games, however the club are unable to provide a suitable ice time slot for this fixture to be rearranged. The game is awarded 5-0 to Peterborough, there is no fine attached to this decision.
There is also one game where a team iced an ineligible player:
NIHL South 1 – MK Thunder v Raiders (February 8). Milton Keynes had a non-EIHA trained player, Antti Kohvakka, serving a suspension at this time however they still iced two non-EIHA trained players in this game. The result has been overturned and the game awarded 5-0 to Raiders , there is no fine attached to this decision.
