The English Ice Hockey Association (EIHA) are pleased to announce that the 2017 showpiece events for the Junior Leagues will be broadcast in a series of highlights programmes on Premier Sports.
This will be the second time that events such as Junior Finals and Conference Weekend will be available to view to a wider audience thanks to the EIHA partnership with 247.tv and Premier Sports.
Premier Sports will show action from England-Scotland u19 international (1 hour show), the Inter-Conference Tournament (2 x 1 hour shows) and Junior Finals (2 x 1 hour shows). It is also hoped that highlights from the Rob Laidler u18 Plate will feature – this will be confirmed once the format of the weekend is finalised.
EIHA Director Geoff Hemmerman said: “These events are the pinnacle of the junior ice hockey season and it is fantastic that a wider audience gets the chance to see the standard of hockey that is played.
“We are grateful to Premier Sports for their continued support and we hope as many hockey fans as possible will tune in to the highlights when they are broadcast.”
Richard Webb, Operations Director at Premier Sports, commented: “It is great to have highlights of these top level junior events for the second year on Premier Sports and the rivalry in the England v Scotland match is there for all to see. We continue to show our commitment to the game in the UK on the home of hockey.”
