January 13, 2018

During the final moments of Invicta Mustangs v Slough Jets NIHL South 2 (Wilkinson) game on December 16th, an incident occurred at 59.50 which resulted in over 130 penalty minutes being handed out on the night, followed by a detailed disciplinary investigation.

The NIHL can confirm the following disciplinary results at this time.

Invicta Mustangs

Alix Deviell is suspended indefinitely pending the result of a police investigation into his actions on the night.  A full EIHA disciplinary judgement will be made once the police action is concluded.

Loyde Fuller picked up a match penalty for fighting on the night.  He has also been found to have used his equipment as a weapon against another player.  He is suspended for 15 games with five points added to his record.

A third Invicta player is subject to an ongoing review using video evidence and reports from those involved.  It is hoped to report the outcome as soon as possible.

Slough Jets

Craig Cowell received a match penalty for fighting on the night, for which he is suspended for four games.  He also receives a supplementary match penalty for slashing, which also carries a four game suspension.  This takes the player beyond ten penalty points, so he picks up an additional two games for points accumulation.  This makes a total suspension of ten games.
