NEWS: England, Conference coaches praised by IHUK development chiefs as GB u12/14 squads are launched

Ice Hockey UK are stepping up their plans for Great Britain squads at u12 and u14 level, with north and south elite development squads starting in the 2017/18 season.

Coaching and team staff positions for these squads are now being advertised, with a great number of openings across the four teams – u12 North and South, u14 North and South.

IHUK’s national development head coach Tony Hand said: “There are already some great coaches in the EIHA and SIHA, coaching England and Scotland for example.

“You have coaches in the Conference programme and those doing a great job at club level.

“We have so many good coaches within the junior system and we want to make use of them.

“From a coach’s point of view, it is an exciting time to be part of the Great Britain program.”

The full list of staff positions for the GB u12 and u14 squads are listed on the Ice Hockey UK website, along with details of how to apply.

Applications should be submitted to IHUK national talent identification officer Mark Beggs by October 10, 2016.  Any queries should be directed to Mark by email gbscoutingntdo@gmail.com
