NEWS: Discipline updates for NIHL and Womens league

EIHA Discipline officials in both National Ice Hockey League (NIHL) and the Women’s leagues have handed down their suspension decisions from incidents in last weekend’s games.

In NIHL North 1, Blackburn Hawks goalie Stuart Ashton was given a Match penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct during his side’s game with Solway Sharks on February 19.  He is suspended for one game and has five penalty points added to his record.

NIHL North 2 saw Altrincham Aces forward Jared Dickinson assessed a Match for roughing during the game against Hull Jets on February 18.  He is suspended for two games and has five penalty points added to his record.  Also in N2, Sheffield Senators Alex Harding received a Match for charging at Blackburn Eagles on February 18.  The player is suspended for two games and has five penalty points added to his record.

Ryan Payne of London Haringey Racers in NIHL S2E picked up a Match penalty for kneeing during his side’s game at Chlemsford Warriors on February 18.  He is suspended for one game and has five penalty points added to his record.

There is one suspension in the Women’s Division 1 South.

Basingstoke Bison Ladies player Dee West was given a Match penalty for fighting during her side’s game at Cardiff Comets on February 19.  She is suspended for one game and has five penalty points added to her record.
