The EIHA Discipline committee have reviewed major penalties awarded last weekend and the following suspensions have been handed out.
In NIHL National as already confirmed yesterday, Telford Tigers’ Andrew McKinney is suspended for four games following his match penalty in the game against Basingstoke Bison on January 12. He missed the first of these on Thursday night and will miss games on January 18, 19 and 25.
Telford Tigers NIHL 2 defenceman Ashley Stanton received a 5+game penalty for roughing in the Tigers’ game at Altrincham Aces on January 12, this takes him over the threshold of ten penalty points this season. Stanton is suspended for two games and will miss action on January 18 and 19.
Finally in Under 20 league, Whitley Renegades player Alexander Mitchell was assessed a match penalty for abuse of official in the game against Nottingham on January 12. The player is suspended for four games and has five penalty points added to his record. Under the disciplinary rules he is unable to play at any other level (U18 or NIHL) until the suspension is served at this level.
The full list of decisions in NIHL, WNIHL and U20 are available to view on the Discipline pages of the EIHA website.
