The disciplinary panel has been in action again this week, reviewing match penalties from last weekend’s games in NIHL and U20 leagues. Four players in total have been subject to suspensions.
In NIHL North Cup last Saturday, October 13, Hull Pirates netminder Tomas Fucik was assessed a Match penalty for abuse in the third period of the game at Sheffield Steeldogs. Due to the serious nature of the incident, the player is suspended for ten games with five penalty points added to his record. Fucik has already served one game on October 14, the remaining games run until November 10. He can return to action on November 11.
Also in the North Cup on Saturday, Telford Tigers forward Joe Aston received a Match for fighting in the third period of the game against Billingham Stars. He has been suspended for four games with five penalty points added to his record. One game has been served on October 14, Aston also misses games on October 20, 21 and 27.
Luke Martin-Digby of Haringey Huskies picked up a Match for fighting in the third period of Sunday’s NIHL South 2 game at Chelmsford Chieftains. He has been suspended for four games with five penalty points added to his record. The player misses games on October 20, November 3, November 10 and November 24.
Finally in Under 20 league Bracknell‘s Daniel Williams received a Match for kicking in the second period of the South Division game at Sutton Sting. The player has been suspended for three games with five penalty points added to his record. He can not play at any other level until the U20 suspension is served in full.. Williams misses the U20 games on October 20, October 27 and November 17.
