The supplementary discipline review into the events at last month’s NIHL North 1 game between Whitley Warriors and Solway Sharks has been completed. Sharks goalie Calum Hepburn was already confirmed as receiving a four game suspension.
In addition Lewis Baldwin from Solway Sharks and Dean Holland of Whitley Warriors have both been assessed with a match penalty for fighting in the November 25 game, where several scuffles took place after the final buzzer. Each player is suspended for six games with five penalty points added to their record.
The players have already missed games on December 8 and 9. Baldwin will miss further games on December 15, 16 , 22 and 30. Holland misses games coming up on December 15, 16, 23 and 29.
Both bench coaches – David Holland (Whitley) and Martin Grubb (Solway) were separately disciplined for failing to control their benches – these bans have been served.
From last weekend, Bristol Pitbulls’ Richard Hargreaves has reached the ten penalty point plateau, this means he is suspended for two games. He will miss games on December 15 and January 5.
Ben Ealey-Newman of Bracknell Hornets picked up a match penalty for abuse of official in the first period of NIHL South 2 game at Invicta on December 8. He is suspended for four games with five penalty points on his record. The player will miss games on December 22, 29, January 6 and 12.
