My remembrance to Bob – from Irene Jones

March 6, 2017

I could go on about the years I have known Bob (and it is 30 plus), and the things he has achieved in ice hockey, but my loss of him as friend and at times confidant is the greatest sorrow of all to me.

The words below are poignant as to how I feel:

God looked around his garden
And found an empty space
Then he looked down upon this earth
And saw your tired face
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest
God’s garden must be beautiful
He only takes the best.

Memories are the loveliest thing, they last from day to day, they can’t get lost they don’t wear out, and can’t be given away.
