May 4, 2017
Friday 26 May is the first night of Conference Weekend 2017, with the traditional England-Scotland u19 international taking place to kick off the festival of junior ice hockey.
The Junior Leagues Management Committee (JLMC) want to make it a special event, so in conjuction with our charity partners Jack O’Donnell Foundation, everyone is coridially invited to ORANGE FRIDAY.
Everyone attending on Friday night is encouraged to wear orange – why not pick up one of the JODF Hoodies? – or enter the fancy dress competition to win a prize!
During the day the JLMC are hosting a mini development day for mini players – a session for u8 called Mighty Mites. The Mites will be meeting the England U19 players earlier in the day and will be on the ice in front of a packed Ice Sheffield crowd for two halves of hockey action either side of the first period of the U19 international.
These u8 Stars of the Future will appreciate all the support from the fans in the stands.
Plans are also being put in place for a Teddy Bear Toss in the second interval of the u19 game, with a prize for the nearest to the centre spot plus all toys being used to raise funds for the Jack O’Donnell Foundation.
Kick start your Conference weekend with a memorable evening supporting u8 Mighty Mites and the u19 internationals and raising money for our 2017 official charity – it’s all in the name of ORANGE FRIDAY!
