March 5, 2019

For the past couple of years, the Mighty Mites has been a massive success in opening the EIHA Conference Weekend, with the thrills and spills of the under 9s who are starting out on their quest to be the stars of the future. This year we are building on the success of British Ice Hockey by combining the 25 year anniversary of the conference system as well as the return to Pool A for GB Hockey by showcasing the Mighty Mites on the opening night.

The JLMC would like to provide an experience of the “Conference Weekend” to players who are not currently eligible for selection to the Conference teams. This means that this opportunity is aimed at players born in development years and given that the plan involves an exhibition game within the England v Scotland U19 game the places on this event are limited to 34 out-skaters and six goalies. As such places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis although we will create a reserve list.

The England v Scotland junior international is the annual curtain-raising game signalling the start of the EIHA’s showpiece Conference Tournament which is widely regarded as one of the best junior tournaments in the World and certainly the only tournament with such a spread of age groups all competing in the same venue at the same time.

MIGHTY MITES 2019 is specifically for U9 players born in 2010, 2011, 2012 with a minimum of one years experience , the details of which are as follows:

Places on this day are strictly limited and preference will be given to those players who register their interest using the TeamApp.
