JLMC: Storm Academy hosting 3v3 tournament this coming Saturday

August 21, 2018

This Saturday Manchester Storm Academy would like to invite players to take part in a 3 on 3 cross ice event at Planet Ice Altrincham. The mini tournament brings together players from four different age groups as each player will have the chance to play in four games in 75 minutes.

The format of the event will see the games held in each end zone, with the players changing on the buzzer.

“This is one of a number of initiatives we are looking to get off the ground this season and we would like registered players from other clubs to come and join us,” said Storm Academy chairman Seth Bennett.

“3 on 3 is a wonderful way for players of all age groups to get ready for the new season because of the speed of the games and the intensity of the action.

“Looking at those who have already signed up it should be a really high standard which will be great. In the North especially it is really important that all the clubs work together to make the most of the ice time we have and to give the players as many opportunities as possible to play competitive games.”

The event starts at 1615 this Saturday, August 25, at Planet Ice Altrincham and first team players born between 2003 and 2010 are eligible to take part.

If you would like more information on how to book your place go to the events section of the Storm Academy page on Team App, https://manchesterstormacademy.teamapp.com/ or email StormAcademychair@gmail.com.
