JLMC: Solent Junior Devils are looking to recruit coaches

Solent Junior Devils Ice Hockey Club are looking for expressions of interest from Coaches. Please submit this together with a short paragraph about yourself making sure it includes details of any relevant qualifications. A formal interview will be arranged for July. Closing date for applications is Sunday 17th June. Remuneration subject to agreement.

HEAD COACH

• Build and effectively manage a coaching team that provides a high standard of coaching to all the players across levels and ages
• Design, implement and manage a unified club system across all age groups
• Mentor all coaches and assist them to achieve continued personal development
• Serve as the official spokesperson on behalf of the coaching team
• Coordinate the delegation of responsibilities across the coaching team
• Organise regular coaches meetings and encourage all coaches to attend
• Develop a sense of inclusion across the entire coaching team and build a feeling of unity
• Ability to communicate effectively with coaching personnel
• Coordinate player evaluation and team selection
• Plan, implement and manage pre-game and pre training preparation
• Coach the teams at games and during training sessions
• Express strong interest and commitment to child/athlete development
• Ability to communicate on and off-ice requirements to players and parents
• Must be able to commit the time required to fulfil the role as stipulated by the Executive Committee
• Create regular reports which contain the following information – evaluation of players performance, evaluation of each team performance, outline of training plans and game strategy and recommendations on how the program can be improved.
• Plan on and off-ice activities
• Implement all the Club Policies and all EIHA policies
• This position shall be appointed by and report to the Executive Committee

LEVEL 2 COACH AND LEVEL 1 COACH

• Assist the Head Coach to build a coaching team that is suitable for the Club
• Mentor fellow coaches and assist them to achieve continued personal development
• Work with the Head Coach as he delegates responsibilities across the whole coaching team
• Attend coaches meetings
• Assist with player evaluation and team selection
• Implement and manage pre-game and pre training preparation
• Coach the teams at games and during training sessions
• Show a strong interest and commitment to the development of each individual child
• Ability to work with fellow coaching personnel
• Ability to communicate on and off-ice requirements to players and parents
• Ability to meet the necessary time requirements
• Assist with creating regular reports which contains the following information – evaluation of players performance, evaluation of each team performance, outline of training plans and game strategy and recommendations on how the program can be improved.
• Implement and manage on and off-ice activities
• Implement all Club Policies and EIHA Policies
• These positions shall be appointed by and report to the Head Coach

TEAM COACH LEVEL 2 AND TEAM COACH LEVEL 1

• As above but in addition take ownership of a particular team
• These positions shall be appointed by and report to the Head Coach
