GOVERNANCE: First open meeting a success; second event this Saturday in Sheffield

May 1, 2018

The EIHA Governance Working Group held their first open meeting on Sunday in Bracknell, taking comments and generating a positive discussion about the future governance of the sport in England & Wales and further afield.

EIHA’s director with portfolio responsibility for governance, Joy Johnston, said: “The meeting was well attended and everyone there was really engaged about finding a solution for a better governed sport in the future.

“We’d like to thank everyone who took time to attend in Bracknell or who has sent comments by email.  We would strongly encourage anyone who has an interest in the future of the sport to come along to Sheffield this Saturday or send us their thoughts by email.”

The second open consultation is this coming Saturday, May 5, in the Glacier Suite at Ice Sheffield from 11am to 2pm.  Those who are looking to attend are asked to complete a short online form https://goo.gl/forms/9JSdFPu4BflcWuVY2 in advance of the meeting.

Any interested parties unable to make it to Sheffield can still send their comments to governance@eiha.co.uk and they will be taken on board by the Governance Working Group.
