Great Britain Under-18 Women face Hungary this evening (Friday) at Ice Sheffield as the four-team international tournament gets under way.

The first game of the tournament is Spain against Poland (4:45pm), which is followed by GB and Hungary’s match at 7:45pm.

It’s part of the squad’s preparations for the World Championship Division 1 Qualification tournament in Austria in January.

Coach Cheryl Smith said: “The squad is in good spirits after we met up yesterday.

“We have our first training session this afternoon and it will be good to put everyone through their paces.

“This will be a good test for the girls against some good sides and they should be three great games.

“It is excellent to get some international action ahead of January’s World Championship.”

GB’s other games are against Spain on Saturday at 1:15pm and Poland on Sunday (1pm).
