The England National Team Programme (ENTP) has three vacancies for assistant coaches to the England U14 girl’s team and the newly formed England U17 women’s team and applications are now invited for the above positions.

As a direct response to the recent review of the England U15 Girls team and the progression to IHUK’s Great Britain U18 team, England National Team Programme Director Geoff Hemmerman has agreed to the formation and establishment of the England Senior Women’s Team. It is envisaged that this new team will initially provide continued development opportunities for EIHA’s junior female players from 14 to 17 years old.

Due to the relatively low number of female participants registered and eligible for the National Team Programme Mr Hemmerman has declared that the selection process of players to the ENTP female programme will need to be relaxed until such time as player numbers have increased.

The recent changes to the U11 Conference Programme and the expansion of the JLMC’s development programme has seen significant increases and improvement at the youngest age groups and it is hoped that more female players will be able to access the Female Elite programme through this expansion work.

The current plan is to hold trials for the England U14 girls and England women’s team in November and the first full-day camp for the new look England Female Programme will take place at Ice Sheffield on Thursday 21st December 2017. A further camp will be held in February 2018 and the two female teams will join the existing boys teams for a trip to Bratislava in April 2018.

Applications should be received by the England GM no later than 9am on Tuesday October 31, 2017.  Interviews to take place on Saturday November 4.
