Director Geoff Hemmerman and head coach Ben Pitchley are pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Benson as General Manager of the England National Team Programme.
Chris steps up from his previous role as video analysis lead to take the General Manager hotseat.
Hemmerman said: “Chris has worked with us for the last two years so has a great insight into the programme, understands the ENTP ethos, goals and visions.
“It is a tough job but Chris really impressed Ben and I at the interview with his enthusiasm and drive to move the programme on.”
Ben Pitchley added: “It was clear at the interview how enthusiastic Chris was to take the programme forward. His management experience and skillset from his day time role really stood out and he is going to be a great addition to our management team and the ENTP structure.”
Benson himself said: “I am honoured to be given this opportunity to lead and work in a programme that puts player development at the forefront of its vision.
“I’ve worked in and around the England set up for the past ten years, but these last two years have taken the programme to another level.
“I look forward to working with Ben, Geoff and the whole staff that makes up an incredible team working together for the benefit of the players.”
Details of the first England camps of the new season will be issued early next week along with the names of players selected to take part.
