Following on the addition of the u16’s Girls to the GB programme the EIHA reviewed their programme and as a result it was decided that it was no longer feasible to run a 16’s programme for the females and change it to u14’s below is a short overview of the first training session and the process going forward.

Players taking part in the programme below will be taking the first steps to become the athlete they need to be to progress through to the GB programme.

“The England u14 girls had their first trials in Sheffield on Friday 2nd October 2015.

Over 45 girls attended and went through a tough assessment both on and off the ice. Coaches and training staff oversaw the sessions which is the start of the process to pick the England u14 girls team who will represent the country next year at a number of international events and tournaments”.

The process for selection to the final team will require players to attend further trials / training and fitness sessions and following a strict fitness and nutrition programme.

With final selection taking place after a week long School of Excellence last week in May 2016 from which the final team will be selected to travel to Finland in August 2016 for an intense week of training and games.

If you missed this trial there will be one more trial to build the squad date to confirm if you would like more information please contact The England U14 Girls Manager Lyn Burton to get more information email
