Children’s BBC programme, Marrying Mum and Dad is currently in its third series sees young children plan a wedding for their mum and dad – who have no idea about the plans (think “Don’t Tell The Bride” but with less tantrums).

In a nutshell, it’s kids planning their parents’ wedding – the theme, the entertainment, the venue and the outfits. Timing wise they have two to three weeks. The parents know they are getting married – it would be quite a shock if not! – but the kids plan everything.

Earlier in the Summer the Producers contacted Sutton Sting for help with one of the programme themes, winter wonderland, which was the setting for one of the “weddings” being organised by two kids from the Midlands.

The kids were given a super fast introduction to ice hockey and presenter Ed Petrie took a shift between the pipes to face some shots. He put on a brave face, in the end!

Find out how the Winter Wonderland themed wedding turned-out when the show is broadcast on the CBBC digital channel on Thursday 13th August 2015 at 9:30 am.
