“For a small hockey nation we really punch above our weight in terms of international assignments and opportunities to develop our officials in partnership with other countries. We have a number of IHUK Elite officials who have IIHF licenses and go to tournaments.
“However this year we have worked in partnership with IHUK to have EIHA officials recognized with international licenses and also given opportunities for international exposure and events. This is a great way to develop our officials and also reward the officials who have been working hard on developing their skills.
“These officials really deserve to have opportunities where they can further themselves even more and get to experience officiating in other countries. We will be continuing to work hard to open up opportunities for other EIHA officials to have these international experiences as they progress their way through our levels and up into Elite and IIHF licenses.”
