* Please note the course in Guildford is running with the classroom sessions on 13 January and the on-ice session on 14 January. It was not possible to run both components on the same day due to ice time and meeting room availability; attendees are required to do both parts across the 2 days to complete the course. Please bear this in mind for booking a place on this course.

Please Note: We have been trying to schedule a course for Billingham and Sheffield for this season but at this time we have not been able to secure ice time. We will continue to look into scheduling a course there in the future, however you are advised to book onto one of the other courses if you want to ensure you can take the course in the 2017/18 season.

Course Cost

The cost of the level 1 officiating course is £115 and this must be paid to confirm your booking onto the course.

The £115 includes your registration/insurance fee to be an official for the remainder of the 2017/18 season.

How do you book a place on the course?

To book a place on a course you need to fill in the on-line booking form. This will reserve your place on the course. However, your place will not be confirmed until you have paid the attendance fee for the course.

The payment of £115 must be made by a bank transfer to the EIHA Bank Account (This is the holding account for the IHUK Referee Section for 2017/2018 season). The details can be found here. Please ensure you quote ‘REFLVL1’ as your payment reference. Regardless of the location of your course, this is the account that your fee needs to be paid into.

Once your on-line form and money has been received your place on the course will be confirmed.

Please click here to fill-in the on-line booking form. Remember your place is only confirmed once you have paid the attendance fee.

Once your form and payment have been received you will be sent a confirmation email to confirm your place on the course (usually within 7 days of your form and payment being received and confirmed to the Ice Hockey UK Referee Section via the EIHA bank account).

Closer to the date of your course you will receive full course joining instructions and a welcome email informing you of the exact location and any specific details relating to your course. This will be sent from the course instructor usually 7 days prior to your course.

If you have problems accessing the on-line booking form or any questions about how to book a place on the course please email Nathan Ormond, Level One Officiating Manager [email protected]

How old do you have to be please?

The minimum age to register as an IHUK official is 15 years old. If the attendee is not yet 15 years old they can attend the course but they will not be eligible to register or officiate games until they are 15 years old.
