The brand new Level 1 referee course continues its rollout this month with courses in Sheffield and Solihull.
The EIHA Officiating Level 1 course is suitable for people wanting to begin ice hockey officiating.
Attendees may be new to the sport completely or they may have some experience within the sport, either as a referee in an unofficial or untrained capacity for their local club during training sessions, or maybe as a current player, former player as a coach, or in another capacity.
Anyone who is interested in becoming an official and wanting to learn more about officiating of the game should look to attend the level 1 course as an introductory course to officiating. It is the entry level course to starting as an official in ice hockey in the EIHA.
Our course in Sheffield on March 18th is fully booked so a huge thank you to everyone who has expressed an interest. The courses to date have been very well attended with a wide range of participants in terms of age and hockey experience, but everyone has come through so far with the help of our instructors and trainers.
If you are still interested in taking the Level 1 course this year, the last opportunity is at Solihull on Saturday 25 March – details of the course and how to book can be found on this page.
The session scheduled for Chelmsford on 11 March has been cancelled.
